ATV Specification Sheet Template

Evidence scope: This template does not contain specific values. Fill from the exact manufacturer spec sheet.

A useful spec sheet lets dealers compare models side by side. Missing fields force follow-up emails.

Verification Rules

Record the source document, revision date, measurement method, units, and whether each value is rated, tested, estimated, or optional. Payload and towing figures must state whether the rider, cargo, hitch hardware, or trailer tongue weight is included. Range, noise, speed, and warranty claims require their conditions and exact model reference.

Define the Fields Before Comparing Models

Dry weight and wet/ready-to-ride weight are not interchangeable. State which fluids, battery, and accessories are included. For width and height, identify the measurement points and whether mirrors or optional equipment are installed. List both the value and the unit; do not mix inches with millimeters or pounds with kilograms in the same comparison without an explicit conversion.

Separate a vehicle's maximum payload from the rated capacity of an individual front or rear rack. Record what the manufacturer includes in the payload calculation, including rider, cargo, accessories, and tongue load if applicable. Keep towing capacity, rack limits, and gross vehicle limits in separate fields. Never calculate a combined capacity from unrelated ratings unless the manufacturer documents that method.

For electric models, distinguish nominal battery voltage, amp-hours, and watt-hours; they are different measurements. A claimed range needs a test method and conditions, such as speed profile, terrain, rider/load, temperature, battery age, and assist or power mode. If those conditions are unavailable, mark the range field “not verified for comparison” instead of ranking the model.

Spec-Sheet Quality-Control Pass

Before sending a sheet to a dealer, have a second person compare every populated field against the cited source and confirm the exact model year and market configuration. Flag optional equipment, regional variants, estimates, and values that are pending engineering confirmation. Add a “last verified” date and document owner. If two sources disagree, do not average the values; identify the controlling document and request clarification.

Example of a Useful Comparison Row

An auditable entry can state: “Overall width: [value and unit]; measurement excludes mirrors; source: drawing/spec revision [ID]; market configuration: [code]; verified [date].” This is a format example only and intentionally supplies no vehicle measurement.

EverJoy Project Boundary

EverJoy can populate a specification sheet from confirmed model documentation. Dealers must verify the final market configuration, legal requirements, and commercial claims before publication. A blank field is safer than an inferred value.

Bottom Line

Use one consistent spec sheet format. Fill from the manufacturer, not memory.
